Communications Assistant

GAIN is looking for an enthusiastic and creative Communications Assistant as a key member of the Communications team, to provide support for external and internal events, as well as specific projects and campaigns. S/he will also provide administrative and programmatic support to the Communications, Policy and Advocacy Team.

Reporting to the Associate External Relations, the Communications Assistant will have the opportunity to take the lead on the logistics for external and internal GAIN events. S/he will also be responsible for drafting the event invitations and to carry out post- even evaluations (including data entry and analysis; producing reports for event stakeholders).
The Communications Assistant will also support the team by co-ordinating all team activity including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas and writing meeting notes, basic daily admin duties;  updating the GAIN corporate website and supporting with the design and distribution of GAIN branded materials, including templates, letterheads and reports.

Strong attention to detail, ability to meet tight deadlines and excellent administration, research and presentation skills are required. Experience in graphic design and photo editing will be preferred.
Excellent command of English and knowledge of Microsoft Office Package is essential.
