The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) was launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. GAIN is a global, Swiss-based foundation that mobilises public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition. 

The Development Office supports and coordinates the proposal development, resource mobilization, donor relations and reporting across the organization. The new GAIN Strategy sets ambitious targets for expanding funding for our country programmes, and diversifying our funding base, including to non-traditional and in-country financing sources. This role will support this strategy, sitting in the Development Office in London, reporting to the Head of the Development Office.

Overall Purpose:

  • Supporting the engagement of new donors and new funding opportunities, including EU, foundations and/or Supporting country teams in accessing funding, including in-country where applicable
  • Maintaining a portfolio of donor relationships and reporting
  • Contributing to development office processes, quality control, and monitoring

Experience:

  • Experience of proposal development and fundraising
  • Experience in European Commission funding and/or international foundations/trusts strongly preferred
  • Experience in donor grants reporting
  • Experience of working in an international organisation
