The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) was launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. GAIN is a global, Swiss-based foundation that mobilises public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition.


The Director of Policy and External Relations heads the GAIN Policy and External Relations Team which comprises the Development Office, External Relations/Communications team and SUN Business Network Secretariat. The Development Office supports and coordinates the proposals development, resource mobilization, donor relations and reporting across the organization. This role will sit in the Development Office, reporting to the Head of the Development Office.

Overall Purpose:
•Provide administrative coordination for the Development Office, including assistance for the Head of the Office
•Focal point for resource mobilization database and proposal tracking
•Provide executive assistance to Director of Policy and External Relations
•Keep Development Office databases and filing system for proposals (Salesforce and Sharepoint) up-to-date and generate reports as required
•Support development of bids and proposals as part of the DO team
•Arrange travel and coordinate diary for Director of Policy and External Relations and support other team travel arrangements;

Experience:
•Experience of working in an international organisation;
•Experience of maintaining databases and reporting systems;
•Experience of senior administrative or executive assistance role;
•Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and matrix structure in a lean, fast-moving environment is critical.
