GAIN’s purpose is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving the consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially those most vulnerable to malnutrition. In particular, we aim to improve the consumption of safe and nutritious foods for—at a minimum—1 billion people over the next five years and target major improvements to food systems, resulting in more diverse and healthier diets for vulnerable people in countries where we work.

We are seeking to deploy an Associate, Food Fortification who will work closely with the Programme Lead- Food Fortification, Director, Food Policy & Financing, the Program Services Team and the broader organization - as well as external partners and stakeholders - to manage the successful delivery of projects with a priority focus in French-speaking regions including Haiti and West Africa and global projects managed out of Brussels.

The ideal candidate will be fluent in French (reading, writing and speaking) have strong project management skills and extensive knowledge and experience in the international development sector. You must be able to demonstrate proven experience in global and/or national health and nutrition with a strong knowledge of food initiatives. You must have experience in food safety, large-scale food fortification and universal salt iodization programs. You will be required to have experience of working with both the public and private sector and experience of forming appropriate platforms for public- private collaboration working with international partners including governments, international organizations, and NGOs both at the global and country level.
